Homeward Bound Veterans provides safe, stable transitional housing and structured support for veterans rebuilding their lives. We meet urgent needs first — housing, detox and treatment coordination, food, clothing, and documentation — then walk beside each veteran with case management, employment guidance, and family reconnection for up to twelve months.

Our inspiration
Steven's legacy
Steven White was a decorated U.S. Army Ranger — a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient, a father, a teacher. After coming home he fought PTSD, dependency, and finally homelessness. We lost him to suicide. Homeward Bound Veterans exists so that Steve's life will benefit others for generations, and our work will be his legacy.

Veterans we walk beside
I spent many months homeless and even contemplated suicide. Homeward Bound Veterans has been a life-changing experience for me. They've helped me find work, stay clean and sober, and live in a structured, supportive environment. After nearly five years on the streets, I finally feel like I have purpose, stability, and hope.
I was on the streets, with my scooter and a backpack. Today I am so grateful I was connected through a VA rep to everybody here. I think there should be more homes like this — it keeps us away from negativity, for those of us who do actually want to grow.
This place helps veterans who are in danger of becoming homeless or reduced to sleeping in their cars. I now share a room with two other vets in similar situations — and everybody helps everybody in the house.
Prior to 2 days ago, I was sleeping in my car and spending my days in public libraries. I now have a bed to sleep in, a place to bathe, and do laundry. The home is very nice and comfortable. This has relieved me of much stress.
I wanted to change my life and be a part of something that offers hope. HBVets has done that and so much more. The staff is friendly, professional, and always providing assistance for our needs. I am forever grateful for the program.
